What is counselling?
Counselling provides a supportive environment for individuals to explore their feelings and thoughts. Bob Finlay’s goal is to help you navigate through challenges, identify solutions, and achieve your personal goals in a confidential setting.
What is mediation?
Mediation is a collaborative process where a neutral third party assists individuals in resolving disputes. Bob Finlay facilitates communication to help find mutually acceptable solutions, providing a cost-effective alternative to litigation.
What can I expect during my session?
During your session, you will have the opportunity to discuss your concerns in a safe and non-judgmental space. As a trained professional, Bob Finlay will listen actively, provide feedback, and collaborate with you on strategies to address your challenges.
Is my information confidential?
Yes, your privacy is our priority. All information shared during sessions is kept strictly confidential, in accordance with legal and ethical obligations. There are some exceptions to confidentiality which will be explained to you by your counsellor prior to the beginning of counselling. You can trust that your discussions with us remain private.
Can I change my appointment?
Yes, you can reschedule your appointment by reaching out to us directly within 48 hours for Counselling and 72 hours for Mediation and appointments involving court reports. We understand that life happens and will accommodate changes whenever possible.
What are my payment options?
Clients can pay by e-transfer, credit card or certified cheque. If paying by credit card, bank charges will be added to the balance. Payment for each session is expected in advance in order to confirm your appointment date and time. Payments for court reports are by payment of a retainer due prior to the beginning of the report.
